Biotechnoscience, Biopolitics and Biolaw
This line intends to survey and investigate – under the descriptive and normative tools of the bioethical paradigm and its possible interfaces with the biolaw – the morality of the practices involved by the validity (joint) of the biotechnical-scientific and the biopolitical paradigm in the health field.
This is a new study field that involves professionals from the Applied Ethics (in particular bioethicists), from the Law (in particular from the biolaw), from Social and Human Sciences (in particular from the political philosophy and from the biopolitics) and from Health who work hard on the concrete health problems that affect human populations and individuals and that are results of the validity of sanitarian policies referring to the beginning, to the end and to the life quality of such policies recipients.
In particular, this implicates facing the double incorporation question, in the health field, of C & T and the access of human populations and individuals to new procedures of attention in health involved by such incorporation. But it also implicates, on one hand, the exclusion and inclusion dialectic involved, and, on the other hand, the dialectic between rights and duties involved by any sanitarian policy.
